Jackman lifts Brampton over Waterloo, 7-4

Behind a great game by Reid Jackman, who had two goals, the Brampton Bombers defeated the Waterloo Siskins, 7-4.

Jackman scored at 3:53 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Brampton and again while 1:27 into the third to make the score 5-2 Brampton.

Brampton's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Waterloo power plays. The Bombers found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Brampton has scored at the pace of 2.8 goals per game during the current campaign.

Brampton additionally got points from Jacob Hanlon, who also tallied one goal and two assists to lead the team in points and Nik Borschevsky, who also had one goal and one assist. Jonathan Glynn also scored for Brampton. In addition, Brampton received assists from Daniel Hussey, Josh Villaflor, Greg Wilson, and Eric DiCarlo, who each chipped in one and Brady Clouthier and Brandon Clelland, who contributed two a piece.

Waterloo kept the Bombers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Erik Angeli made 27 saves on 31 shots.

The Siskins were led by Danny Hanlon, who registered one goal and one assist. Hanlon scored 13:08 into the third period to make the score 6-4 Brampton. Keigan Goetz picked up the assist. Waterloo also got a goal from Eric Cimino as well. Other players who recorded assists for Waterloo were James Soper, who had two and Matt Cruickshank, Jakub Jelen, Adam Campagnolo, and Stephen Witiuk, who each chipped in one.

Brampton incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Waterloo took out Darren Huck after he had made 14 saves and installed PJ Bridges in goal, where he finished with four saves and the loss. The Siskins incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
