The Port Colborne Pirates' Nick Dagostino had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 6-3 win over the Thorold Blackhawks.

Dagostino found the back of the net 10:38 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Port Colborne and again while 13:03 into the third to make the score 5-3 Port Colborne.

Thorold was unable to stop Port Colborne from sending pucks towards the net, and the Pirates eventually piled up 46 shots on goal.

Port Colborne also got points from Nick Berst, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Paul Moskalyk, who also racked up one goal and two assists, and Dima Lavrenov, who also had one goal and one assist. DYLAN BURDICK also scored for Port Colborne. Other players who recorded assists for Port Colborne were Jordan Bolibruck, who had two and Thomas Sestini, Nathan Judd Warren, and Trevor Smith, who each chipped in one.

The Blackhawks put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Port Colborne to score on any of its four power plays. Thorold's offense rang up 40 shots on the Pirates' net.

The Blackhawks were led by Tanner Pagendam, who registered one goal and one assist. Pagendam scored on the power play 12:09 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Port Colborne. Thorold had gained a power play chance when Zoren Popel was whistled for holding. Vince Dunn provided the assist. Thorold additionally got points from Kevin Lavoie, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Thorold also got a goal from Mark Arnone as well. More assists for Thorold came via Chris Goulet, Adrian Copeland, and Mackenzie Mac Avoy, who contributed one a piece.

Real Cormier rejected 37 shots on goal for Port Colborne. The Pirates incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Vinny Merante recorded 40 saves for the Blackhawks. Thorold incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. For the Blackhawks, Brian Brosnan and Dan Chudobiak were ejected from the contest.
