LaSalle downs Lambton Shores, 6-1

Brad Carroll grabbed one point to lead the LaSalle Vipers to a 6-1 victory over the Lambton Shores Predators.

LaSalle made Lambton Shores' netminders to work without much rest, ripping 33 shots and forcing 27 saves. Brandon Campbell made 15 stops and Justin Tugwell made 12. The Vipers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. LaSalle's goal total was higher than its season average. The Vipers have scored at the pace of 3.9 goals per game during the current campaign.

LaSalle also got points from Korey Morgan, who also had two goals and one assist, Spencer VanBuskirk, who also finished with one goal and one assist, and Eric Noel, who also grabbed one goal and two assists. Dylan Seguin also scored for LaSalle. In addition, LaSalle received assists from Zack Percy, who had one, Chad Shepley, who had two, and Scott Prier, who had three.

The Predators' offense operated below they season average. Lambton Shores puts an average of 3.2 pucks into the net per game. The Predators found themselves stymied offensively, and got off a mere 14 shots against LaSalle's defense.

Lambton Shores was led by Brett Thompson, who scored the team's only goal. Thompson scored 14:08 into the first period to make the score 3-1 LaSalle. Bryan Boersma provided the assist.

Taylor Speed made 13 saves for the Vipers on 14 shots. LaSalle incurred 28 minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Predators incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
