Leamington downs Lambton Shores, 2-1

Dakota Olvin tallied one point to lead the Leamington Flyers to a 2-1 victory over the Lambton Shores Predators.

Leamington excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Flyers' offense rang up 50 shots on Lambton Shores' net.

Leamington also got a goal from Chris Scott as well. In addition, Leamington received assists from J.P. Grineau, Cole Chevalier, and Tony Spidalieri, who each chipped in one.

The Predators were held below their usual level of production. Lambton Shores puts an average of 3.2 pucks into the net per game.

The Predators were led by Ryan Rontondi, who scored the team's only goal. Rontondi scored 16:31 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Lambton Shores. Adam Arseneault provided the assist.

Austyn Roudebush made 14 saves for Leamington on 15 shots. The Flyers totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 1-for-6 on the power play. Leamington ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Troy Cox was ejected from the game. Brandon Campbell recorded 48 saves for Lambton Shores. The Predators ended with 19 minutes in penalty time with seven minors and one major. For Lambton Shores, Kyler Keating was ejected from the game.
