Siddall nets hat trick, leads St. Marys to 5-3 win over St. Thomas

Mike Siddall lifted the St. Marys Lincolns to a 5-3 victory with a hat trick against the St. Thomas Stars.

Siddall got on the scoresheet 19:29 into the first period. He then added goals at 2:30 into the second and at 19:54 into the third.

St. Marys capitalized on St. Thomas' penalties, netting two goals while skating with a man advantage.

St. Marys also got a goal from Owen MacDonald as well. In addition, St. Marys received assists from Jonathan Rizzo, who had three and Braydon Blight, Tyson Baker, and Sean Consitt, who each chipped in one.

The Lincolns were unable to stop the Stars from sending pucks towards the net, and St. Thomas eventually piled up 41 shots on goal.

The Stars were helped by Luc Knight, who finished with one goal. Knight scored 1:31 into the first period to make the score 1-0 St. Thomas. Nathan Judd Warren provided the assist. St. Thomas additionally got points from Mike Iacocca, who also registered one goal and one assist and Martin Kudla, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. More assists for St. Thomas came via Braden Hellems, Drew Collinson, and Chris Maton, who contributed one a piece.

St. Marys' Jacob Theut stopped 38 shots out of the 41 that he faced. The Lincolns incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Donald Edwards recorded 23 saves for St. Thomas. The Stars incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
