Brampton blows out Guelph, 4-0

The Brampton Bombers were firing on all cylinders against the Guelph Hurricanes, and when the final buzzer sounded Bombers emerged with a 4-0 win.

Guelph's power play was ineffective against Brampton's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

The Bombers were led by Jacob Hanlon, who racked up one goal. Hanlon scored 3:07 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Brampton. Phil Caputo picked up the assist.

Brampton's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Guelph power plays. The Hurricanes were unable to stop the Bombers from sending pucks towards the net, and Brampton eventually piled up 46 shots on goal. The Bombers got an offensive boost from their blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

Brampton also got points from Reid Jackman, who also registered one goal and one assist. Kyle Allan also scored for Brampton. More assists for Brampton came via Michael Darrigo, who had two and Matt Capicotto, Calvin Gomes, and Brandon Clelland, who each chipped in one.

Guelph was held below its usual level of production. The Hurricanes average 2.2 goals per game.

Bryan Raymond made 21 saves for Brampton on 21 shots. The Bombers incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Quinton Henry recorded 42 saves for Guelph. The Hurricanes incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
