Waterloo penalty kill dominates in 5-2 defeat of Brampton

Despite having to fight off several power plays, the Waterloo Siskins were able to defeat the Brampton Bombers, 5-2.

Waterloo was paced by James Soper, who registered one goal and one assist. Soper scored short handed 10:41 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Waterloo. The Siskins found themselves down a man on Christian Mroczkowski's roughing after whistle. Trevor Atkinson APJ picked up the assist.

Waterloo also got a goal from Jordan Cale as well. Other players who recorded assists for Waterloo were Jacob Ariss, who had one and Adam Campagnolo, who had three.

Brampton was ineffective while on the power play, as it was held to one goal off of nine man advantages.

The Bombers were helped by Greg Wilson, who grabbed one goal. Wilson scored 25 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Brampton. Jacob Hanlon assisted on the tally. Nik Borschevsky also scored for Brampton. In addition, Brampton received assists from Eric DiCarlo, Kurt Wolff, and Michael Darrigo, who each chipped in one.

PJ Bridges made 27 saves for Waterloo on 29 shots. The Siskins incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. Erik Angeli rejected 25 shots on goal for Brampton. The Bombers incurred 28 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
