LaSalle squeaks by Sarnia, 4-2

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the LaSalle Vipers escaped with a 4-2 victory over the Sarnia Legionnaires.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Scott Prier secured the win for LaSalle with a goal in the third period.

The Vipers were led by Prier, who finished with one goal. Prier scored on the power play 1:17 into the third period to make the score 3-2 LaSalle. Dylan Seguin assisted on the tally.

LaSalle also got a goal from Korey Morgan as well. Other players who recorded assists for LaSalle were Richard Villani, who had two and Blake Jones, Brad Carroll, Spencer VanBuskirk, and Eric Noel, who each chipped in one.

Sarnia was led by Steve Farlow, who registered one goal and one assist. Farlow scored on the power play 9:21 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Sarnia. The Legionnaires had gotten the advantage when LaSalle's Rio Anzolin was sent off for roughing. Jason Teschke picked up the assist. Josh Kestner also scored for Sarnia. More assists for Sarnia came via Nathan Mater and Davis Boyer, who contributed one a piece.

Taylor Speed rejected 23 shots on goal for the Vipers. LaSalle incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Sarnia's Andrew Ganter stopped 24 shots out of the 28 that he faced. The Legionnaires incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
