Listowel boosted by Reinhardt's play in net, beats Stratford 4-1

The Listowel Cyclones relied on the sparkling performance of Drew Reinhardt in net to grab a 4-1 win against the Stratford Cullitons.

Listowel pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 31 penalty minutes.

The Cyclones were sparked by Patrick Bell, who grabbed one goal. Bell scored on the power play 2:30 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Listowel. Listowel earned a power play opportunity when Liam Maaskant was put in the box for kneeing. Jacob Robitaille picked up the assist.

The Cyclones' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on seven Stratford power plays.

Listowel additionally got points from Caleb Cameron, who also registered one goal and one assist. Brett Thompson also scored for Listowel. Other players who recorded assists for Listowel were Scott Pawson and Ben Shelley, who contributed two a piece.

Stratford could not produce up to it normal offensive output. The Cullitons average 3.9 goals per game. Stratford kept Listowel's goalie busy throughout the game, and Reinhardt made 48 saves on 49 shots.

The Cullitons were led by Jared Culliton, who scored the team's only goal. Culliton scored 16:36 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Ryan Watson provided the assist.

The Cyclones registered one goal on one power play opportunities. Listowel ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Sam Feagan was ejected from the game. Stratford's Nick Caldwell stopped 22 shots out of the 26 that he faced. The Cullitons ended with 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major. For Stratford, Brett Heaman was ejected from the game.
