Cambridge downs Caledonia in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

Maxime Lamontagne gave the Cambridge Winter Hawks a 3-2 (OT) victory over the Caledonia Corvairs when he scored 1:09 into the extra period.

Cambridge was led by Lamontagne, who racked up one goal.

The Winter Hawks kept Caledonia's goalie busy throughout the game, and Justis Husak made 35 saves on 38 shots.

Hudson Michaelis also scored for Cambridge. More assists for Cambridge came via Tyler Snyder, Cameron Pentsa, Andrew Coupland, Chris Taylor, and Todd Bannermon, who each chipped in one.

The Corvairs managed to stay out of the box better than usual, tallying one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Caledonia ended up below its season average of 29.0 penalty minutes per game. The Corvairs' offense operated below they season average. Caledonia averages 4.3 goals per game.

The Corvairs were helped by Matt Quilty, who registered one goal. Quilty scored 10:16 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Caledonia. Tyler Norrie picked up the assist. Caledonia also got a goal from Connor Murphy as well. Other players who recorded assists for Caledonia were Matthew Henderson and Ryan Blunt, who contributed one a piece.

Lucas Machalski rejected 27 shots on goal for Cambridge. The Winter Hawks avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored zero goals off of one power plays. Caledonia registered zero goals on two power play opportunities.
