Lambton Shores vanquishes London in shootout, 2-1 (2-0 SO)

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as the Lambton Shores Predators defeated the London Nationals in a shootout 2-1 (2-0 SO).

The shootout featured five attempts between both teams. Lambton Shores also got a shootout goal from Adam Arseneault.

The Predators overcame a one-goal deficit to capture the victory. Lambton Shores fell behind 1-0 after a goal by London's Aaron Dartch at 8:07 in the second period. The Predators tied things up at 1-1 on a power play goal by Kyle Brothers at 17:28 in the second period.

Lambton Shores was led by goalie Brandon Campbell, who finished with 35 saves while allowing one goal. Campbell certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 3.28 entering the contest.

The Predators excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances.

The Nationals could not produce up to they normal offensive output. London puts an average of 4.2 pucks into the net per game. Lambton Shores was unable to stop the Nationals from sending pucks towards the net, and London eventually piled up 36 shots on goal.

More assists for London came via Noah Schwartz and Derek Todosichuk, who each chipped in one.

The Predators incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Nick Dampier recorded 28 saves for the Nationals. London incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
