Thompson, Feagan dominate Lambton Shores, lead Listowel to 6-3 win

Behind two goals from Brett Thompson and one goal Sam Feagan, the Listowel Cyclones downed the Lambton Shores Predators 6-3.

Thompson scored the first of his two goals at 4:43 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Listowel. Mac Nichol picked up the assist. Thompson's next tally made the score 5-3 Listowel with 52 seconds left in the third period. Feagan scored 1:04 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Listowel.

Listowel forced Lambton Shores goalie Brandon Campbell to work between the pipes, taking 39 shots. The Cyclones capitalized on the Predators' penalties, netting two goals while skating with a man advantage.

Listowel additionally got points from Kyle Ellis, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Nichol, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Listowel also got a goal from Dylan Sayles as well. More assists for Listowel came via Caleb Cameron, Tanner Mighton, Scott Pawson, and Jacob Robitaille, who contributed one a piece.

Lambton Shores' offense rang up 50 shots on Listowel's net.

The Predators were helped by Adam Arseneault, who had two goals. Arseneault scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 8:27 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Listowel. A high sticking penalty on Ellis had put Lambton Shores on the power play. Kyler Keating provided the assist. Arseneault's next tally on the power play made the score 3-2 Listowel with 2:35 left in the second period. The Predators earned a power play opportunity when Sayles was put in the box for tripping. Kyle Brothers picked up the assist. Lambton Shores also got points from Tanner Ferguson, who also grabbed one goal and two assists.

Daniel Dekoning rejected 47 shots on goal for the Cyclones. Listowel incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Lambton Shores' Campbell stopped 33 shots out of the 37 that he faced. The Predators incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
