The St. Thomas Stars and the London Nationals were evenly matched throughout their contest, but St. Thomas made the most of its opportunities and won, 4-3. No lead was more than one goal during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Colin Mooney at 14:11 of the third period. The Stars were led by Mooney, who racked up one goal. St. Thomas also got points from Martin Kudla, who also had one goal and one assist. St. Thomas also got a goal from Luc Knight as well. In addition, St. Thomas received assists from Braden Hellems, who had two and Ian MacDonald, Mike Iacocca, Trevor Abbott, and Daniel Cotroneo, who contributed one a piece. St. Thomas was unable to stop London from sending pucks towards the net, and the Nationals eventually piled up 41 shots on goal. London was helped by Aaron Dartch, who tallied one goal. Dartch scored on the power play 16:22 into the second period to make the score 2-1 London. The Nationals had gained a power play chance when Ashton Waters was whistled for interference. Noah Schwartz assisted on the tally. London additionally got points from Schwartz, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Ryan Tuffin also scored for London. More assists for London came via Derek Todosichuk, who had one and Shawn Crowley, who had two. Tynan Lauziere made 38 saves for the Stars on 41 shots. St. Thomas incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. London's Taylor Edwards stopped 24 shots out of the 28 that he faced. The Nationals incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
