The Guelph Hurricanes tried their best to erase a three-goal deficit, but the Waterloo Siskins would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 5-4.

A goal by Christian Mroczkowski put Waterloo up 5-2 in the third period, but Guelph pulled to within one on Matt Lippa's tally 17:55 into the third period.

Mroczkowski was all over the ice for the Siskins, as he finished with two goals in the win.

The Hurricanes were unable to stop Waterloo from sending pucks towards the net, and the Siskins eventually piled up 40 shots on goal.

Waterloo also got points from Evan Buehler, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Jacob Bonin also scored for Waterloo. More assists for Waterloo came via Adam Campagnolo, who had three, Jordan Cale and Blake Hetherington, who contributed one a piece, and Brandon Jones and Matthew Mah, who each chipped in two.

Guelph outdid its season average for goals scored. The Hurricanes average 1.6 goal per game.
