Drew Collinson finished with two points to lead the St. Thomas Stars to a 3-1 victory over the Leamington Flyers. St. Thomas' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Leamington power plays. St. Thomas also got points from Mike Iacocca, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Martin Kudla, who also tallied one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for St. Thomas were Braden Hellems, who had one. Leamington stifled the Stars' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Flyers were held below their usual level of production. Leamington puts an average of 3.8 pucks into the net per game. The Flyers were led by Alex Seguin, who scored the team's only goal. Seguin scored 8:03 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Leamington. Nathan Opblinger assisted on the tally. Tynan Lauziere made 23 saves for St. Thomas on 24 shots. The Stars incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. For St. Thomas, Colin Mooney was ejected from the game. Matt Mancina rejected 16 shots on goal for Leamington. The Flyers incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
