LaSalle penalty kill dominates in 4-0 defeat of Lambton ShoresVollmer Recreation Complex Wed, Oct 17, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
The Lambton Shores Predators failed to take advantage of their power play opportunities and the LaSalle Vipers shook off a number of penalties to win, 4-0. LaSalle was sparked by Dylan Denomme, who tallied one goal. Denomme scored 14:31 into the first period to make the score 1-0 LaSalle. Korey Morgan assisted on the tally. The Vipers forced Predators' goaltenders to work without much rest, ripping 47 shots and forcing 43 saves. Brandon Campbell made 32 stops and Justin Tugwell made 11. LaSalle put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Lambton Shores to score on any of its eight power plays. LaSalle also got points from Morgan, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. LaSalle also got a goal from Brad Carroll as well. In addition, LaSalle received assists from Ben Hanus, who had two and Chad Shepley, Chris Pignanelli, Nathan Veres, and Daniel Slipchuk, who each chipped in one. The Predators' offense operated below they season average. Lambton Shores averages 3.0 goals per game. The Vipers' Conner MacKinnon stopped 20 shots out of the 20 that he faced. LaSalle incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. The Predators incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
