The St. Marys Lincolns, who led by three goals at one point, survived a comeback attempt by St. Marys and clinched a 5-3 victory. The Lincolns led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when St. Marys' Sean Consitt's scored at 12:43 in the second period to put the Lincolns up 4-1. St. Marys' penalty kill excelled, as the Lincolns gave up one goal despite allowing eight power plays. St. Marys was led by Mike Mandarelli, who had one goal. Mandarelli scored on the power play 10:55 into the second period to make the score 3-1 St. Marys. The Lincolns had gotten the advantage when the St. Thomas Stars' Zack Anderson was sent off for hooking. Kurtis Lavis picked up the assist. St. Marys kept St. Thomas' goalie busy throughout the game, and Luke Bierworth made 26 saves on 31 shots. St. Marys additionally got points from Owen MacDonald, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Consitt, who also had one goal and one assist. St. Marys also got a goal from David Sproat as well. Other players who recorded assists for St. Marys were Jonathan Rizzo, who had two and Braydon Blight and Mike Siddall, who each chipped in one. The Stars were led by Mike Iacocca, who registered two goals and one assist. Iacocca scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 16:10 into the first period to make the score 2-1 St. Marys.
