The Stoney Creek Warriors' Aleksander Panov had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 8-3 win over the Buffalo Jr. Blades. Panov scored at 7:44 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Stoney Creek and again while 8:13 into the first to make the score 2-0 Stoney Creek.Buffalo's power play was ineffective against Stoney Creek's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded. Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 15:57 into the second period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with two game misconducts. The Warriors forced their penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up six minors and one major for 27 minutes in penalty time. Buffalo could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 27 minutes in penalties during the game. The Jr. Blades were led by Colton Anstey, who grabbed one goal. Anstey scored 2:38 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Stoney Creek. Kennedy Monaco picked up the assist. Tom Hanna also scored for Buffalo. More assists for Buffalo came via Cody Teijeira, who had one. Brendan Polasek made 18 saves for the Warriors on 21 shots. Stoney Creek registered one goal on six power play opportunities. The Warriors ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Panov was ejected from the game. For Buffalo, Gary Seitz was ejected from the game.
