The Welland Jr. Canadians failed to take advantage of their power play opportunities and the Niagara Falls Canucks shook off a number of penalties to win, 2-1. Niagara Falls was paced by Michael Christou, who grabbed one goal. Christou scored 18:11 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Niagara Falls. Cam Stewart assisted on the tally. Niagara Falls additionally got points from Stewart, who also had one goal and one assist. More assists for Niagara Falls came via Brad Kri, who had one and Mitch McIntosh, who had two. Welland was led by Braden Curry, who scored the team's only goal. Curry scored on the power play 3:22 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Welland. A boarding penalty on Cole Langan had put the Jr. Canadians on the power play. Chris Langdon provided the assist. Hunter Johnson rejected 22 shots on goal for the Canucks.
