The Fort Erie Meteors' Alex Untersberger scored 2:18 into overtime to beat the Thorold Blackhawks, 4-3 (OT).

Fort Erie got the win behind a great game by Jordan Bailey, who had two goals and two assists. Bailey scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 2:33 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Fort Erie. The Meteors earned a power play opportunity when Tanner Pagendam was put in the box for slashing. Anthony Passero picked up the assist. Bailey's next tally on the power play made the score 2-0 Fort Erie with 15:25 left in the second period. Riley Devine assisted on the tally.

Fort Erie additionally got points from Jesse Parker, who also racked up one goal and one assist. More assists for Fort Erie came via Austin Carroll, who had one.

Thorold had trouble converting on the power play advantage, managing just two goals on 10 chances.

Owen Sobchak also scored for Thorold. In addition, Thorold received assists from Myles Falasca, Vince Dunn, Roger Sherwood, and Mark Arnone, who each chipped in one.

Connor Visca made 23 saves for Fort Erie on 26 shots. The Meteors incurred 28 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. The Blackhawks' Vinny Merante stopped 21 shots out of the 25 that he faced. Thorold incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. For the Blackhawks, Kevin Lavoie was ejected from the game.
