Dalen Kuchmey stood on his head and made 35 saves to lead the Strathroy Rockets to a 4-1 victory over the Lambton Shores Predators.

Lambton Shores' power play was ineffective against Strathroy's penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.

The Rockets were led by Shawn Grogan, who tallied one goal and one assist. Grogan scored 12:28 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Strathroy.

Strathroy kept the Predators' goalie busy throughout the game, and Justin Tugwell made 31 saves on 35 shots.

Others who scored for Strathroy included Trevor Dulong, who had one and Nick Boyer, who had two. In addition, Strathroy received assists from Ryan Field, who had two and Brett Dalton, Kurtis Sander, and Wes Baker, who contributed one a piece.

Lambton Shores' offense rang up 36 shots on the Rockets' net. The Predators found themselves short handed often, totaling 34 penalty minutes and allowing six power plays.

Strathroy ended with 21 minutes in penalty time with eight minors and one major. For the Rockets, Sander was ejected from the game.
