The Port Colborne Pirates survived a determined comeback attempt by the Stoney Creek Warriors on the way to a 3-1 win. A goal by Pat Murphy put Port Colborne up 3-0 in the third period, but Stoney Creek pulled to within two on Lucas Triemstra's tally 14:04 into the third period. The Warriors' power play was ineffective against the Pirates' penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded. Port Colborne capitalized on Stoney Creek's penalties, netting three goals while skating with a man advantage. The Pirates struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as they finished the game with 32 penalty minutes for 12 opposing power plays. Port Colborne was helped by Trevor Smith, who registered one goal. Smith scored on the power play 10:06 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Port Colborne. The Pirates earned a power play opportunity when Jake Milligan was put in the box for slashing. Dima Lavrenov provided the assist. Port Colborne additionally got points from Jordan Warren, who also finished with one goal and one assist. In addition, Port Colborne received assists from Bryan Komasara, who had one and Charlie Izaguirre, who had two. More assists for Stoney Creek came via Zach Niemanen, who had one. Morgan Hudson rejected 21 shots on goal for Port Colborne. For the Pirates, Dayne Phillips was ejected from the game. Brendan Polasek recorded 25 saves for the Warriors.
