Twin City blows out Breezy Point, 4-1

The Breezy Point North Stars had trouble finding ways to stop the Twin City Steel, which beat North Stars, 4-1.

Breezy Point was stymied by Twin City netminder Sawyer Marshall, who stopped 45 shots during the victory. The solid play of Marshall will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 3.68.

The Steel were paced by Isaac Hale, who registered one goal. Hale scored 16:36 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Twin City. Chase Myers-Beck picked up the assist.

Twin City's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Breezy Point power plays. The Steel forced the North Stars goalie Erikur Arnason to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots.

Twin City additionally got points from Nick Cerrato, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Kegan Storjohann, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Ryan McAloon also scored for Twin City. In addition, Twin City received assists from Nicholas Schreiner and Brody Peterson, who contributed one a piece.

Breezy Point put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Twin City to score on any of its four power plays. The North Stars' offense rang up 46 shots on the Steel's net.

Breezy Point was led by Anthony Martinez, who scored the team's only goal. Martinez scored 2:19 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Breezy Point. Tyler Reichl provided the assist.
