Michigan rips Metro, 4-1

The Michigan Mountain Cats were firing on all cylinders against the Metro Jets, and when the final buzzer sounded Mountain Cats emerged with a 4-1 win.

Michigan was sparked by John Arms, who tallied one goal and one assist. Arms scored 12:40 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Michigan. Kade Morrison provided the assist.

The Mountain Cats stifled Metro's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Michigan also got points from Morrison, who also finished with one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Austin Sartorius also scored for Michigan. More assists for Michigan came via Bryan Davis, who had two and Ben Mack and Guy Soulliere, who each chipped in one.

The Jets' offense operated below they season average. Metro averages 3.3 goals per game.

Spencer Craig recorded 21 saves for Michigan. The Mountain Cats incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Jets' starting goalie, Riley Corbin, made 23 saves and finished with the loss before he was taken out in favor of Austin Julvezan, who stopped one shot. Metro incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
