The Twin City Steel relied on the scoring touch of Shane Hill, who netted two goals, to beat the Breezy Point North Stars, 7-4.

Hill scored at 6:02 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Twin City and again while 14:26 into the second to make the score 5-2 Twin City.

Twin City put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Breezy Point to score on any of its three power plays. The Steel's offense rang up 36 shots on the North Stars' net. Twin City outdid its season average for goals scored. The Steel average 3.7 goals per game.

Twin City additionally got points from Trey Hughes, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Nicholas Schreiner, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Ryan McAloon, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Twin City also got a goal from Calvin Miska as well. Other players who recorded assists for Twin City were Chase Myers-Beck, who had two and Marvin Powell, Jordan Schwandt, Sam Gottfredsen, and Colin Fenelon, who each chipped in one.

Breezy Point was helped by Kyle Whipple, who had one goal. Whipple scored 14:06 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Twin City. Jonathon Plaszcz provided the assist. Breezy Point also got points from Kyle Pacheco, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Connor Cooley also scored for Breezy Point. More assists for Breezy Point came via Billy Foy, Bo Borowski, Timothy Taylor, and Tyler Reichl, who contributed one a piece.

Twin City took out Patrick Drazkowski after he had made five saves and installed Joey Garapolo in goal, where he finished with 20 saves and the win. The Steel totaled 17 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major and went 1-for-5 on the power play. Erikur Arnason made 29 saves for the North Stars on 35 shots. Breezy Point ended with 21 minutes in penalty time with eight minors and one major.
