A hat trick by Zac Sikich was the highlight in Lumberjacks' 8-2 win against the Twin City Steel. Sikich's first goal came 4:56 into the second period. He then added goals at 12:13 into the second and at 16:25 into the second.The Granite City Lumberjacks forced Steel's netminders to work without much rest, ripping 40 shots and forcing 32 saves. Jared Schletty made 19 stops and Joey Garapolo made 13. Granite City surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Lumberjacks average 4.8 goals per game. Granite City additionally got points from Aidan Verbeke, who also finished with two goals and one assist and Drew Otto, who also tallied one goal and four assists. Mitchell Gwost also scored for Granite City.
