The Soo Eagles survived a determined comeback attempt by the Springfield Jr. Blues on the way to a 5-4 win.

A goal by Michael Lant put Soo up 5-3 in the third period, but Springfield pulled to within one on Parker Johnson's tally 17:29 into the third period.

Jared VanWormer had one goal and two assists to lead the Eagles. VanWormer scored 5:32 into the third period to make the score 4-3 Soo. Brandon Adams picked up the assist.

Soo's offense rang up 35 shots on the Jr. Blues' net.

Soo also got points from Lant, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Sean Murphy, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Nikita Zagryadskiy, who also finished with one goal and one assist, and Denver Pierce, who also racked up one goal and one assist.
