Baskin nets hat trick, leads Aberdeen to 4-1 win over Coulee Region

Erik Baskin netted a hat trick to lead the Aberdeen Wings over the Coulee Region Chill, 4-1.

Baskin notched his first tally 44 seconds into the first period. He then added goals at 1:08 into the third and at 17:49 into the third.

By firing 32 shots on goal, Aberdeen exceeded the 27.0 shots it averages per game this year.

Aberdeen also got a goal from Justin Parizek as well. Other players who recorded assists for Aberdeen were Steven Johnson and Jake Horton, who each chipped in one and Kyle Haak and Jonathan Grebosky, who contributed three a piece.

Coulee Region was led by Eddie Matsushima, who scored the team's only goal. Matsushima scored 13:32 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Jake Kauppila picked up the assist.

The Wings' Chad Catt stopped 24 shots out of the 25 that he faced. Aberdeen incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Tim Shaughnessy made 28 saves for the Chill on 32 shots. Coulee Region incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with two minors.
