Janesville wins tough contest against Michigan, 4-2

The Janesville Jets gutted out a close 4-2 win against the Michigan Warriors.

Janesville gained the winning advantage on a goal by Mike Sullivan 7:11 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer.

The Jets were led by Sullivan, who racked up one goal.

Pedlan Ruslan generated most of Janesville's offense, taking 11 out of the Jets' 26 shots. Janesville's defensemen also contributed in the offensive zone and ended up with 13 shots between them.

Janesville additionally got points from Jordan Himley, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Kucerovy also scored for Janesville. In addition, Janesville received assists from Alec Vanko, Zach Diamantoni, Chase Rey, Conor Lemirande, and Cole Pierce, who contributed one a piece.

By firing 42 shots on goal, Michigan exceeded the 23.5 shots it averages per game this year.

The Warriors were helped by Shawn Badali, who registered one goal. Badali scored 8:35 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Michigan. Ryan Dougherty assisted on the tally. Michigan also got a goal from Colin Larkin as well. More assists for Michigan came via Jon Farkas, who had one.

Austin Priebe recorded 40 saves for the Jets. Janesville incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Dillion Kelley made 22 saves for Michigan on 25 shots. The Warriors incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
