The Wenatchee Wild tried their best to erase a two-goal deficit, but the Fairbanks Ice Dogs would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-3. A goal by Kyle Lee put Fairbanks up 4-2 in the second period, but Wenatchee pulled to within one on Trevor Stewart's tally 9:34 into the third period. The Ice Dogs were sparked by Lee, who racked up one goal and one assist. Lee scored 11:59 into the second period to make the score Fairbanks. Jacob Hetz picked up the assist. Fairbanks racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with 11 minors and two majors for 42 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 15.0 minutes per game the Ice Dogs had been spending in the box. Fairbanks relied on a core group of players for most of its offense, as Lonnie Clary, Garret Clemment and Hetz took 12 of the team's 22 shots.
