Wichita Falls downs Topeka, 4-1

Patrick Yudez tallied one point to lead the Wichita Falls Wildcats to a 4-1 victory over the Topeka RoadRunners.

Wichita Falls stifled Topeka's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Wildcats relied on a core group of players for most of their offense, as Eliot Grauer, Chris Knudson and Yudez took 15 of the team's 27 shots.

Colin Staub also scored for Wichita Falls. More assists for Wichita Falls came via Tyler Ledford, who had three and Sam Pzazza and Jake Townsend, who each chipped in one.

The RoadRunners were held below their usual level of production. Topeka puts an average of 3.1 pucks into the net per game.

The RoadRunners were led by Tyler Andrew, who scored the team's only goal. Andrew scored 9:18 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Topeka. Tyler Poulsen assisted on the tally.

Wichita Falls' Evan Cowley stopped 20 shots out of the 21 that he faced. The Wildcats incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Spencer Viele recorded 23 saves for Topeka. The RoadRunners incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
