Janesville falls apart in second, loses to Port Huron, 7-1

The Janesville Jets allowed the Port Huron Fighting Falcons to net four goals during the second period and fell, 7-1.

Tyler Spezia had two goals and two assists to lead Port Huron. Spezia scored the first of his two goals at 4:11 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Port Huron. Easton Powers assisted on the tally. Spezia's next tally made the score 6-1 Port Huron with 13:50 left in the third period.

Janesville was stymied by the Fighting Falcons netminder Max Milosek, who stopped 31 shots during the victory. The solid play of Milosek will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 2.69.

Port Huron put 27 shots on net during the contest, more than the 24.3 it averages per game. The Fighting Falcons found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Port Huron has scored at the pace of 2.7 goals per game during the current campaign.

Port Huron also got points from David Parrottino, who also finished with two goals and two assists and Powers, who also tallied one goal and two assists. Port Huron also got a goal from Bobby Brown as well. More assists for Port Huron came via Payden Mielke, who had two and Ryan Nick and Nick Horne, who each chipped in one.

The Jets' offense rang up 32 shots on the Fighting Falcons' net.

Janesville was led by Dan Litchke, who took one shot.

Port Huron totaled 35 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 2-for-6 on the power play. Team's Mick Bruce and Ian Miller were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game. Austin Priebe recorded 20 saves for the Jets. Janesville incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
