Peter Krieger netted a hat trick to lead the Aberdeen Wings over the Coulee Region Chill, 5-3. Krieger's first goal came 2:52 into the third period. He then added goals at 10:34 into the third and at 19:39 into the third.Aberdeen excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Wings outdid their season average for goals scored. Aberdeen has scored at the pace of 2.5 goals per game during the current campaign. The Wings' offense was clicking better than usual and put 37 shots on goal during the game, better than the 25.4 shots per game they average. Aberdeen additionally got points from Justin Parizek, who also racked up one goal and two assists. Aberdeen also got a goal from Tanner Holmquist as well. More assists for Aberdeen came via Jordan Heller, who had three and Carl Witty and Niklas Mayrhauser, who each chipped in one. Coulee Region relied on a core group of players for most of its offense, as Garrett Hendrickson, Kevin Becker and Derek Smith took 15 of the team's 28 shots. Jesse Tredinnick also scored for Coulee Region. Other players who recorded assists for Coulee Region were Derek OFlynn, Sean Lang, Jake Kauppila, and Cam Bleck, who contributed one a piece. Chad Catt recorded 25 saves for Aberdeen. The Wings incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Chill's Devin Kero stopped 32 shots out of the 36 that he faced. Coulee Region ended with 21 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major. For the Chill, Max Zebro was ejected from the game.
