The Fresno Monsters tried their best to erase a two-goal deficit, but the Kenai River Brown Bears would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 3-2. Kenai River took a 3-1 lead during the third period, only to have Fresno storm back on a Kyle Buffardi goal 13:34 into the third period to pull to one goal down. The Brown Bears were led by Alex Jackstadt, who registered one goal and one assist. Jackstadt scored 10:40 into the third period to make the score Kenai River. Alec Butcher picked up the assist. The 32 shots that Kenai River put on net surpassed the Brown Bears' average of 24.2 shots per game this season. Kenai River also got points from Butcher, who also tallied one goal and one assist.
