Minot falls to Bismarck in overtime, 2-1 (OT)

The Bismarck Bobcats' Ryan Callahan scored 2:23 into overtime to beat the Minot Minotauros, 2-1 (OT).

Bismarck's Aaron Nelson was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 26 saves and let only one puck past him. The solid play of Nelson will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 1.83.

The Bobcats' penalty kill excelled, as Bismarck gave up one goal despite allowing six power plays.

The Bobcats put 30 shots on net during the contest, more than the 25.3 they average per game.

Bismarck also got a goal from Cory Chapman as well. More assists for Bismarck came via Chris Diver, Jeremy OKeefe, Nate Repensky, and Joe Giordano, who each chipped in one.

Minot's offense was clicking better than usual and put 27 shots on goal during the game, better than the 24.2 shots per game it averages.

The Minotauros were led by Jake OBorsky, who scored the team's only goal. OBorsky scored on the power play 19:28 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Minot earned a power play opportunity when Matt Anders was put in the box for hooking. Mason Morelli picked up the assist.

Bismarck incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. The Minotauros' Tyler Parks stopped 28 shots out of the 30 that he faced. Minot incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
