Tyler Ledford was all over the ice for the Wichita Falls Wildcats, as he tallied two goals and one assist in Wichita Falls' 6-2 win over the Odessa Jackalopes. Ledford's tallies came at 7:20 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Wichita Falls and 15:30 into the third to make the score 6-2 Wichita Falls.The Wildcats excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Wichita Falls found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. The Wildcats have scored at the pace of 3.1 goals per game during the current campaign. Wichita Falls put 33 shots on net during the contest, more than the 28.1 it averages per game. Others who scored for Wichita Falls included Matt Robinson, who had two and Colin Staub and Ben Kucera, who scored one goal each. More assists for Wichita Falls came via Eliot Grauer, who had three, O'Neal L, Charles Hemstrom, and Jake Townsend, who each chipped in one, and Rudy Junda and Will Vosejpka, who contributed two a piece. The Wildcats were unable to stop Odessa from sending pucks towards the net, and the Jackalopes eventually piled up 31 shots on goal. Odessa was helped by Steven Haydon, who racked up one goal. Haydon scored 8:09 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Wichita Falls. Dylan Campbell picked up the assist. Matthew Montemurro also scored for Odessa. In addition, Odessa received assists from Johan Sjoden, Corey Hoffman, and Zane Popilock, who each chipped in one. Evan Cowley made 29 saves for Wichita Falls on 31 shots. The Wildcats totaled 17 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major and went 1-for-4 on the power play. The Jackalopes' Erick Majerle stopped 27 shots out of the 33 that he faced. Odessa ended with 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major.
