The Bismarck Bobcats' Nate Repensky scored 21 seconds into overtime to beat the Aberdeen Wings, 2-1 (OT). Bismarck was led by goalie Aaron Nelson, who finished with 32 saves while allowing one goal. The solid play of Nelson will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 1.83. The Bobcats were paced by Repensky, who had one goal. Bismarck excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. With 46 shots on target during the contest, the Bobcats exceeded the 23.3 shots they average per game this year. Bismarck also got a goal from Stanislav Dzakhov as well. More assists for Bismarck came via Adam Knochenmus, Bob Kinne, and Filip Starzynski, who each chipped in one. The 33 shots that Aberdeen put on net surpassed the Wings' average of 25.5 shots per game this season. Aberdeen was led by Zach Kraft, who scored the team's only goal. Kraft scored 5:04 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Brycon Johnson assisted on the tally. Bismarck incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
