The Aberdeen Wings tried their best to erase a four-goal deficit, but the Minot Minotauros would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-3. Minot made the score 4-0 on a goal by Mason Morelli at 11:52 in the second period, and Aberdeen got as close as 4-3 when Emil Blomqvist scored 11:54 into the third period. Morelli was all over the ice for the Minotauros, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Morelli scored the first of his two goals at 4:10 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Minot. Stephen Sherman picked up the assist. Morelli's next tally made the score Minot with 8:08 left in the second period. Sherman assisted on the tally. Minot put 30 shots on net during the contest, more than the 24.7 it averages per game. Zack Holstrom also scored for Minot. More assists for Minot came via Paul Sorenson, Jake OBorsky, Jadin Martin, Cody Milligan, and Lucas Oliver, who each chipped in one. The 45 shots that the Wings put on net surpassed Aberdeen's average of 23.8 shots per game this season. The Wings were helped by Erik Baskin, who racked up one goal. Baskin scored on the power play 3:11 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Minot. An interference penalty on Denis Dalidovich had put Aberdeen on the power play. Jake Horton picked up the assist. Aberdeen additionally got points from Peter Krieger, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points.
