The Soo Eagles climbed out of a two-goal hole to beat the Kalamazoo Jr. K-Wings, 6-5. Soo let multiple leads slip away before eventually digging out of a two hole to pick up the win. The Eagles took a 2-1 advantage on a goal by Michael Crowley at 4:15 in the second period. Soo found itself down 4-2 after Kalamazoo's Patrick Spellacy put the puck home at 6:04 in the second period. After evening things up at 5-5 on a power play goal by Robbie Payne at 16:01 in the third, the Eagles got the game-winner from Brandon Adams at 17:36 in the third period. Soo surpassed its usual scoring output this season. This season, the Eagles average 3.2 goals per contest. Soo gave up more goals than its normal season average. The Eagles average 2.3 goals allowed per game. Soo put 43 shots on net during the contest, more than the 25.9 it averages per game. Soo additionally got points from Alexander Taulien, who also finished with one goal and three assists to lead the team in points and Eric Rivard, who also grabbed one goal and two assists. In addition, Soo received assists from Jared VanWormer, who had three and Pat Thompson, Mike Sabatini, Matt Menta, and Denver Pierce, who contributed one a piece.
