Kucerovy also scored for Janesville. In addition, Janesville received assists from Conor Lemirande, who had two, Zach Diamantoni, who had three, and Alec Vanko, Jason Ford, and Mike Sullivan, who each chipped in one.

The Port Huron penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled seven minors and one major for 49 minutes in penalty time. The Fighting Falcons surpassed its season average of 18.0 penalty minutes per game. With 44 shots on target during the contest, Port Huron exceeded the 25.9 shots it averages per game this year.

The Fighting Falcons were helped by Brett DAndrea, who registered two goals. DAndrea scored the first of his two goals at 3:54 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Port Huron. Ian Miller picked up the assist. DAndrea's next tally made the score 2-2 with 17:49 left in the second period. A tripping penalty on Diamantoni had put Port Huron on the power play. Miller assisted on the tally. Port Huron additionally got points from Miller, who also had one goal and two assists.
