Adams' hat trick boosts Soo over Port Huron, 4-2

The Port Huron Fighting Falcons could not stop the Soo Eagles' Brandon Adams, who tallied a hat trick in a 4-2 win.

Adams' first goal came 13:14 into the second period. He then added goals at 13:54 into the second and at 19:25 into the third.

Soo excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.

Soo also got a goal from Pat Thompson as well. Other players who recorded assists for Soo were Cody Von Reuden, Michael Lant, Alex Robert, Mike Sabatini, Jared VanWormer, and Eric Rivard, who each chipped in one.

The 44 shots that Port Huron put on net surpassed the Fighting Falcons' average of 26.7 shots per game this season.

Port Huron was helped by Easton Powers, who racked up one goal. Powers scored 19:48 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Port Huron. Nick Horne assisted on the tally. Kody Polin also scored for Port Huron. In addition, Port Huron received assists from Daniel Rehnstrom, Kyle Plageman, and Zach Badalamenti, who contributed one a piece.

Tyler Marble rejected 42 shots on goal for the Eagles. Soo incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Max Milosek recorded 24 saves for the Fighting Falcons. Port Huron incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
