The Bismarck Bobcats had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-2 win over the Coulee Region Chill.

Bismarck was sparked by Matt Anders, who tallied one goal. Anders scored 4:02 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Bismarck. Kevin Becker assisted on the tally.

The Bobcats managed to stay out of the box better than usual, racking up one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Bismarck finished below its season average of 15.0 penalty minutes per game. The Bobcats surpassed their usual scoring output this season. This season, Bismarck averages 2.9 goals per contest. The Bobcats put 40 shots on net during the contest, more than the 26.4 they average per game.

Coulee Region was helped by Garrett Hendrickson, who tallied one goal and one assist. Hendrickson scored 11:50 into the third period to make the score 5-2 Bismarck. Andy Faust picked up the assist. Coulee Region also got points from Mac Jansen, who also racked up one goal and one assist.
