Kalamazoo falls to Jamestown in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

The Jamestown Ironmen's Luc Gerdes scored 3:23 into overtime to beat the Kalamazoo Jr. K-Wings, 3-2 (OT).

Jamestown was sparked by Gerdes, who had one goal.

The Ironmen's offense was clicking better than usual and put 34 shots on goal during the game, better than the 27.5 shots per game they average.

Jamestown additionally got points from Ross Pavek, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Evan Ritt also scored for Jamestown. In addition, Jamestown received assists from Nicholas Sierra, Aaron Scheppelman, and Kenny Curtis, who each chipped in one.

Kalamazoo was helped by Robbie Payne, who finished with one goal. Payne scored 8:13 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Brett Beauvais provided the assist. Kalamazoo also got a goal from Brendan Vetter as well. Other players who recorded assists for Kalamazoo were Kyle Gattelaro, Trevor Boyd, and Luc Boby, who contributed one a piece.

Reid Mimmack made 24 saves for Jamestown on 26 shots. The Ironmen incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. The Jr. K-Wings' Marcus Due-Boje stopped 31 shots out of the 34 that he faced. Kalamazoo incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors.
