Minot uses fast start to beat Bismarck, 5-1Maysa Arena Sat, Dec 15, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
The Minot Minotauros opened up a four-goal lead after the first period and did not look back en route to a 5-1 over the Bismarck Bobcats. Minot was led by Jake Clifford, who finished with one goal and one assist. Clifford scored 7:21 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Minot. Scott Dornbrock picked up the assist. The Minotauros bested their season scoring average. Minot has scored at the pace of 2.9 goals per game during the current campaign. Cameron Rowat also scored for Minot. In addition, Minot received assists from David Dalbec and Stephen Sherman, who each chipped in one and Zack Holstrom and Wesley Iverson, who contributed two a piece. Tyler Parks recorded 19 saves for the Minotauros. Minot incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Aaron Nelson took the loss and made 16 saves before being replaced by Bryan Nies who made four saves. Bismarck incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
