Tyler Marble made 38 saves to complete the shutout and led the Soo Eagles to a 3-0 win against the Janesville Jets. Soo was sparked by Michael Crowley, who tallied one goal. Crowley scored 4:43 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Soo. Jake Peacock picked up the assist. The Eagles' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Janesville power plays. Soo was steadier on the defensive front than it has been for much of this season. The Eagles average 2.3 goals allowed per game. By firing 33 shots on goal, Soo exceeded the 29.6 shots it averages per game this year. Soo also got points from Jared VanWormer, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Eric Rivard also scored for Soo. In addition, Soo received assists from Cody Von Reuden and Alex Robert, who each chipped in one. Janesville excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Jets were held below their usual level of production. Janesville puts an average of 2.4 pucks into the net per game. The Jets' offense rang up 38 shots on the Eagles' net. Janesville was led by Ryan Dau, who took six shots. Soo incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Austin Priebe rejected 30 shots on goal for the Jets.
