The Aberdeen Wings tried their best to erase a three-goal deficit, but the Bismarck Bobcats would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 5-4. A goal by Adam Knochenmus put Bismarck up 4-1 in the second period, but Aberdeen pulled to within one on Zach Kraft's tally 6:28 into the third period. Knochenmus had two goals and one assist to lead the Bobcats. Knochenmus scored the first of his two goals at 13:36 into the second period to make the score Bismarck. Matt Anders picked up the assist. Knochenmus' next tally made the score 5-3 Bismarck with 8:57 left in the third period. Bismarck bested its season scoring average. The Bobcats average 2.7 goals per game. Penalties took their toll on Bismarck, as its penalty kill unit let in two power play goals. The Bobcats put 33 shots on net during the contest, more than the 26.2 they average per game. Bismarck also got points from Mike Dockry, who also registered one goal and one assist and Patrick Moore, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Bismarck also got a goal from Chris Diver as well. More assists for Bismarck came via Levi Blom and Daniel Kovar, who each chipped in one. The Wings' offense rang up 36 shots on Bismarck's net. Aberdeen was led by Justin Parizek, who had one goal and one assist. Parizek scored on the power play 1:54 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Aberdeen. The Wings had gained a power play chance when Diver was whistled for hooking. Mike Parnell assisted on the tally. Aberdeen additionally got points from Kraft, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Jake Horton also scored for Aberdeen.
