Johnstown downs Wenatchee in overtime, 4-3 (OT)Town Toyota Center Fri, Nov 30, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
The Johnstown Tomahawks pulled out a 4-3 (OT) overtime victory over the Wenatchee Wild on a clutch goal by Jordan Watt. Andrew McDonald had two goals and one assist to lead Johnstown. McDonald scored the first of his two goals at 2:05 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Johnstown. Zack Wallace assisted on the tally. McDonald's next tally made the score 2-2 with 8:48 left in the second period. The Tomahawks played down a man on Brandon Reinholz's elbowing. Cody Gylling picked up the assist. Johnstown put 29 shots on net during the contest, more than the 26.3 it averages per game. Mitch Kontny also scored for Johnstown. More assists for Johnstown came via Connor Wright, Jesse Kessler, and Jeff Bergh, who contributed one a piece. Wenatchee's offense was clicking better than usual and put 37 shots on goal during the game, better than the 24.8 shots per game it averages. The Wild were led by Jacob Barber, who had three goals. Other players who recorded assists for Wenatchee were Chris Kerr, who had two and David Mead and Brian Williams, who each chipped in one. The Tomahawks' Chris Truehl stopped 34 shots out of the 37 that he faced. Johnstown incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Robert Nichols rejected 25 shots on goal for Wenatchee. The Wild incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
