Fairbanks downs Corpus Christi in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

Garret Clemment gave the Fairbanks Ice Dogs a 3-2 (OT) victory over the Corpus Christi IceRays when he scored 1:48 into the extra period.

With 33 shots on target during the contest, Fairbanks exceeded the 29.2 shots it averages per game this year.

In addition, Fairbanks received assists from Duggie Lagrone, Colton Wolter, Patrick Newell, Nick Hinz, Kyle Lee, and Ben Campbell, who contributed one a piece.

Corpus Christi's offense rang up 42 shots on the Ice Dogs' net.

The IceRays were helped by Perry DArrisso, who racked up two goals. DArrisso scored the first of his two goals at 48 seconds into the second period to make the score 1-1. Jalen Schulz provided the assist. DArrisso's next tally made the score 2-1 Corpus Christi with 10:57 left in the second period. Corpus Christi had taken the advantage when Fairbanks' Ryan Hogland got sent off for high sticking. Rudy Sulmonde assisted on the tally. More assists for Corpus Christi came via Emil Romig, who had one.

Kevin Aldridge recorded 40 saves for the Ice Dogs. Fairbanks totaled 19 minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major and went 1-for-4 on the power play. The IceRays' Hayden Stewart stopped 30 shots out of the 33 that he faced. Corpus Christi totaled 23 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 1-for-2 on the power play.
