Amarillo's Flood deadly on offense in 5-2 win against Texas

Brandon Flood had two goals to lead the Amarillo Bulls to a 5-2 victory over the Texas Tornado.

Flood's tallies came on the power play at 4:19 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Amarillo and 19:13 into the third to make the score 5-2 Amarillo.

By firing 35 shots on goal, Amarillo exceeded the 27.9 shots it averages per game this year.

Amarillo also got points from Tyler Rostenkowski, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Amarillo also got a goal from Tyler Gernhofer as well. In addition, Amarillo received assists from TJ Sarcona, who had two and John Rey, James LaDouce, Mike Davis, Matt Sieckhaus, and James Bonaguro, who contributed one a piece.

Texas relied on a core group of players for most of its offense, as CJ Reuschlein, Brandon Hawkins and Jackson Leef took 15 of the team's 28 shots.

Texas additionally got points from Justin Greenberg, who also had one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Texas were Scott Conway, who had two.

Paul Berrafato rejected 26 shots on goal for the Bulls. Amarillo incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. Hunter Leisner recorded 30 saves for the Tornado. Texas incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
