Skoog stymies Coulee Region, Aberdeen wins 2-1Omni Center Sat, Nov 10, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
The Aberdeen Wings relied on the sparkling performance of Paige Skoog in net to grab a 2-1 win against the Coulee Region Chill. Aberdeen was paced by Steven Johnson, who grabbed one goal. Johnson scored 4:18 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Aberdeen. Jonathan Grebosky assisted on the tally. The Wings managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Aberdeen ended up below its season average of 17.0 penalty minutes per game. The Wings' offense was clicking better than usual and put 38 shots on goal during the game, better than the 27.9 shots per game they average. Tanner Holmquist also scored for Aberdeen. More assists for Aberdeen came via Patrick Steinhauser, Peter Krieger, and Justin Parizek, who contributed one a piece. Coulee Region was led by Travis Underwood, who scored the team's only goal.
